summer sun warms the room and the kids delighted cries mixed with birds singing around the two red gravel plans. Tennis balls are a little father hither and thither, but Carl Svanberg is pleased with his students.
– I think they’re really good for his age. And this is the first time that we practice volleys at all.
Summer trainings on VTK dating back to the club started in 1975 says the club’s chairman Hans Thelander. A couple of weeks each year invites club in kids of all ages to learn tennis grounds. This year, keep it on a bit in August, an hour a day Monday to Friday.
– We are a fairly pronounced summer club. We open courses in May and turn them in September, he said.
– The objective of this training is to introduce kids to tennis, not to take them on. There may be other clubs take over. Many of those who go here are the children of summer visitors.
Carl Svanberg and Erik Hernborg have known each other since grade eight and they like to teach the kids to play.
– We both have been the first step in the Swedish Tennis Federation fitness training, but really the most important thing in these ages how to treat people. And it’s very fun, it’s a bit like a summer job, says Erik Hernborg.
– Yes, it is really founded, Carl Svanberg fill in.
And the kids on the field looks to have a lot of fun, although some of them have not played for so long.
– Only four times before. And this is my second time here, says Magnus Anell.
– This summer and last, says Philip Hogga and turn impatiently with his racket. Answering questions is obviously not around to be as fun as playing.
Then they get a new exercise. Balance the ball on the racket while they walk along the white lines.
– There is a good coordination training, which is important to learn, says Erik Hernberg.
– Though now when they are so small, it becomes much play of course.
