Third Period is underway.

Going forward into the third period, there are certainties players thathave to be better for the Bruins. One of these players is Jaromir Jagr.

Jagr might get fatigued more Easily than other players due two his age, but he still has two compete when he is on the ice.

Henrik Lundqvist has been huge in this game, but can he continue his play in the third period?

Sometimes, players that lead their team in shots are not the most dominant or exciting player in the game.

This is not the case for Torey Krug. The young Bruins’ defenseman has far exceeded expectations as far as offensive production and defensive play, while subbing for regular Boston starters.

Krug, who had goals in Game 1 and Game 2, has had his share of Chance in this game two make it three straight games with a goal.

Well if Henrik Lundqvist kept the Rangers in the game in the first period, he certainly did more than his share of keeping his team in the game in the second period.

Scoring Change to announce that on Ryan McDonagh goal, as Taylor Pyatt has gotten credit.

Henrik Lundqvist has not faced a ton of traffic tonight, but he’s certainly been good when called upon. The Rangers still can not figure out how to cover the Bruins’ point though.

They’ll need to learn two stick with their checks on the blue line, Because The Bruins’ young defensemen have shown that they Are not afraid to Get Involved in the offense.

Rangers 1, Bruins 0 24:51 remaining, second period.

Rangers 0, Bruins 0 8:00 p.m. remaining, second period.

With the second periodic just around the corner, here are both teams’ keys to the Remainder of the game

Bruins:

Keep the pressure on the Rangers. New York looked discombobulated in their own zone in the first period, with five or six defensive lapse that could have resulted in goals.

The last thing that the Bruins want to do is take their foot off of the gas and let the Rangers back into the game.

Rangers:

The Rangers need to be better defensively, but they also need to be hard on the occur check in the second period, as they present far too many opportunities to the Bruins.

If they can get the the check going, they should be comfortable two put some pressure on the Bruins’ young defensemen and get some turnovers in the Boston end.

Rangers out-hit the Bruins 17-7 in the first period, but as Mike Milbury pointed out in the first intermission, the Rangers have not had a check carried so far in this game.

New York could not get the puck out of the zone, leading to some big Bruins’ Chance, most coming by way of defensive lapse.
