Period 3 of Game 4 between the Boston Bruins and the New York Rangers is underway and after Derek Stepan had tied the game for the Blue Shirts, Tyler Seguin Scored his first goal of the playoffs two restore the one-goal lead for the B’s .
In the second periodic both Nathan Horton and Torey Krug had Scored two power play goals secure a two-goal lead for the B’s, but the Rangers came back down the ice and Quickly cut the lead to one.
Carl Hagelin Scored on a bizzare play, but they’ll take the bounce as it keeps them in this game.
Neither team has aggressively seized momentum through play so far, but Henrik Lundqvist has had to be outstanding once again two keep the Rangers in the game.
Boston Bruins 3, New York Rangers 2 (3rd Period)
I just Realized I posted throughout the third periodic that it was still the second. My apologies. I assure you that this one is going to over time and that the third is over.
Boston Bruins 3, New York Rangers 3 (End of the 3rd Period)
And this one it going to overtime.
Rangers with some pressure. 30 seconds left.
Boston Bruins 3, New York Rangers 3 (2nd Period 0:54)
Bruins go ahead and burn their timeout. Boston’s guys were trapped out on the ice after an icing.
Torts calls a timeout and Manages two curse on live television for the second straight game.
Boston Bruins 3, New York Rangers 3 (2nd Period 2:50)
Krug with an outstanding shift for the Bruins. There is no way the B’s have the same look without him out on the ice. He’s so fast and calm.
Boston Bruins 3, New York Rangers 3 (2nd Period 3:44)
We’re under four minutes here. With these two goalies that’s awfully close to next-mistake-resolved territory.
Shots are 12-7 in favor of the Rangers so far in the third.
Chris Kreider stuffed on a good chance.
Boston Bruins 3, New York Rangers 3 (2nd Period 5:09)
Oh boy. Did not Realize how good of a chance Brassard had until I saw it on the replay again. They will not get any better than that Chances.
Boston Bruins 3, New York Rangers 3 (2nd Period 5:33)
Boyle has another outstanding look from in close and Fast just barely got an arm on it. That was more of a positioning save than a reactionary one. New York had about themelves a hero.
Fast snuffs it out. We continue tied.
Bruins back at full strength.
Boston Bruins 3, New York Rangers 3 (2nd Period 6:02)
Rangers with a lot of puck possession time on this power play, but not a lot of Chance. They are looking for the perfect setup here.
Brassard got a great look and just fired it wide.
New York’s power play has not looked this good all series long.
Torts would cut off an ear of another power-play goal here.
Boston Bruins 3, New York Rangers 3 (2nd Period 8:00)
Rangers going back on the power play after Seguin tripped up a Ranger.
We could have a situation on our hands.
Boston Bruins 3, New York Rangers 3 (2nd Period 1:56 p.m.)
The Rangers refuse to die, and the power play has finally clicked.
Boyle with the goal.
Tie game. Again.
Boston Bruins 2, New York Rangers 2 (2nd Period 10:49)
Bruins whistled down for too many but on the ice. There was Clearly six B’s out on the ice. Rangers get a chance two answer right away.
Torts would cut off his nose for a power play goal right now.
Boston Bruins 3, New York Rangers 2 (2nd Period 11:54)
Fast with a HUGE poke check at one end, and Lundqvist answers with a big glove save on Marchand.
Rangers can not keep it out and Seguin finally gets his first goal of the playoffs. He freaks out and jumps into the boards. I think he could have jumped to the moon.
Three power play goals for the Bruins.
What a sequence.
Boston Bruins 2, New York Rangers 2 (2nd Period 13:15)
Replay shows that no one is within four or five feet of McDonagh. Just Jump into Quick. Silly play at an awful time.
It was McDonagh down in front of Fast-taking that penalty.
Boston Bruins 2, New York Rangers 2 (2nd Period 1:56 p.m.)
Rangers are going to get called for goalie interference for the second time in this game. Bruins already have two power-play goals in this game. Now they’ll have a chance for another after a stupid, stupid play by New York.
No reason to make contact there as far as I can tell.
Boston Bruins 2, New York Rangers 2 (2nd Period 2:14 p.m.)
Girardi has taken a few clever shots in this game so far. He seems intent on changing the fact that McDonagh is the only defender that has Scored for the Rangers so far in this series.
Boston Bruins 2, New York Rangers 2 (2nd Period 4:01 p.m.)
Bruins right back on the attack after the Stepan goal. They seem totally unfazed.
Boston Bruins 2, New York Rangers 2 (2nd Period 6:26 p.m.)
Derek Stepan scored early in the third on another odd goal. Stepan just kind of snakes off the stick of Chara’s stick and buries a wrap-around.
Tie ballgame.
Third Period is underway.
20 more minutes in New York’s season? 20 or more minutes before the Bruins are forced to regroup and head back home with another chance two close?
Rangers have been Credited with 30 hits? There’s a little bit of insider trading going on with that number.
