Visceral Star Wars Game in Earliest Stages, Confirmed for Next-Gen - IGN

Dead Space studio Visceral has begun hiring for its Star Wars game. According to a listing for a senior designer, the project is currently “in the earliest concepting phase of game development” and seeking a leader to “guide a pre-show team.”

The listing also confirm that the game is “a next-gen HD Star Wars console title,” presumably meaning it’s headed to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 It contains few hints about the genre of the game, though it does refer to designers “laying out combat spaces.”

EA acquired the exclusive license to Star Wars games EARLIER this month, confirming games from Visceral and Battlefield studio DICE. EA has since said that those games will not ship before April 2014 and that it will discuss its Star Wars plans at E3. This week, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen Suggested that the facility could revive old franchises like Star Wars Battlefront.
