It is the biggest, most unforgettable and classic dates in the beloved Tre Kronor proud history.
But listen:
If it gets gold today, then they are all in the shade of date ring 23 February 2014.
Then February 23, 2014 Swedish Hockey’s own suttonde May, 4th of July and 24 December.
Then February 23, 2014 The Greatest Day – whatever Boye says.
Well, I claim it.
This may indeed be the greatest moment in the blue and yellow hockey history.
We face the best team in Canada – Hockey world’s true superpower – can muster in an Olympic final in Russia.
Such a tremendous match, Tre Kronor actually never won.
It also means that the warriors we have gathered here in Sochi becomes our greatest heroes ever – bigger than Klimpen Häggroth and Sven Tumba
and Double-Nisse Nilsson and Rolle Stoltz and Honken Holmqvist and Uffe Sterner and Lill-streaked and Borje Salming and Tord Lundström and Mats Åhlberg and Pekka Lindmark and Hakan Loob and Jonas Bergqvist and Foppa and Mighty Mighty Sundin and Lidas and to and with Thomas Forslund.
What an opportunity.
What an opportunity.
What chance.
There is now this young – in some cases maybe not SO young – men can realize the dreams that burned in their hearts since they were little kids and enroll in history forever.
It’s The Game of a Lifetime – for them and for the Three Crowns.
***
It is The Game of a Lifetime for an old blogger too, I can tell.
I was in Wiener Stadthalle both Friday evening when Loob played a pass to Sandstrom and Sunday afternoon when they came out in their hideous jackets and took the gold medal, saw the bronze match at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena in 1994 and has been sitting in the press gallery for a few breathless Game 7-dramas in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
But this beats everything.
It’s funny how it goes. I agonized quite a lot before I came here, nojjade of Aeroflot and Russian hotel standards and believed deep down that it would go wrong with both hockey and my writing efforts.
Now I sit here, on a plastic chair that was a makeshift home in two weeks, next to the mythical Big Papa Wennerholm, and will see the Olympic final between Three Crowns and Canada.
It is a privilege, a privilege and I am so damn happy to be able to experience this.

** Though we’re supposed to not delude ourselves.
This becomes difficult
This becomes difficult as a semi against Brazil with Stefan Schwarz off and Jonas Thern sent off in the second half.
Canada was awfully good in the semifinals against the United States the day before yesterday-especially defensively.
They have three backpar and four centers every which makes it virtually impossible to create chances against Carey Price.
There has been a lot of babbling about giants Crosby and Toews made no goals, but they have essentially been defensive duties in this incredibly tight playing teams as well – and my goodness, so they just wiped out America’s most dangerous weapon in the semifinals.
Bäckis and Bulan Berglund and Sedin and Steen and Loui will not get half a millimeter free, was so sure.

Zätas box is right where it should, on the raised front of pressläktarbänken, overlooking the ice .
So he’s here now too.
commander, captain, he who sowed the first seeds in the squad of what is now the Scarlet unity and brotherhood.

who speaks for the crowns is that they do not really have anything to lose.
They’ve already done more in this tournament than anyone could ask for and can go out and just enjoy the moment and have fun, while opponents really have to win .
There are good prospects.

Discerning ambient believes that you should not have glossy jackets, but it can not be helped now.
I have one of those in the gold shade and it sits on now.
Will they get Kronwall take it.

Carey Price – goalkeeper who unfortunately been much more stable than I had hoped – said something good about the character of this Canadian team after the U.S. semifinal.
– We have a special kind of kind of stars who are “comfortable being uncomfortable”.
So no one told about the Russian stars …

Aftonbladet-fifth grade is extended with any number now – himself, Simon is said to be on the input from the mountains, even – but I dont have time to squeeze all the tips on the first Swedish scorer.
Here are the most commonly speak.
Big Papa Wennerholm: Alex Edler.
Ros: Alex Steen.
Abris: Daniel Sedin.
Grandmaster Flash: Alfie.
Finland Emil: Loui Eriksson.
Lönnegren: Bäckis.
Bjurre Biff: Jakob Silfverberg.
That is, I get the feeling, always unexpected to score these kinds of times …

Whatever happens, I hope not they told the judges comes into focus – least of all at crucial times.
Now, I’m on the players’ line – Sutherland is a high-class referee, so kana dick he is, and has pride enough not to give any advantage to either side, and regardless, it is pointless to waste energy on something you can not influence.
same time, it feels unnecessary to even invite the sort of suspicion and anger this election triggered.
Damn what a shame if it becomes a big deal of it.

The Swedish perchance throw the covers when Shea Weber loads his monstrous nature will anyway have generated the gold, I think we can decide now.

Today, I do not ask.
Today we know this far how motherland halted, breath holding and standing behind the Tre Kronor in every situation.
It is wonderful.

Would it this way in an Olympic final turn up new readers of the blog will know the following.
I publish posts with observations, opinions and bad puns in the intervals.
Live updates can be found at Emil Lagnelius of Cover it Live Race on sportbladet.se
But it is perfectly possible to be in this blog commentary, which tends to be wonderfully

Now I and the Big papa chat with gay readers, so I chose to publish this intro in exceptionally good time.
I’ll say it again:
This is The Game of a Lifetime – and so we must once again pick up Karin Boye rows forever become synonymous with the great Swedish sporting successes.
The sated day is never
The best day is a day of thirst
Yes, there is purpose and meaning in our path,
but it’s the way that is worthwhile.
