How many science fiction movies tolerate moviegoers? At least one more.
novel “Ender’s Game” drills children, using advanced war game, to become the next generation of strategic geniuses. Obviously, to defeat the obligatory alien threat. Six year old Ender Wiggin is the officer academy next star talent. Silly? Absolutely not. The book addresses everything from bullying and brainwashing to digital network significance for world politics – not to mention the burning substance in question drönarkrig. The author Orson Scott Card has recently became best known for homophobic statements, and draw ridicule on most things he associated with.
“Ender’s Game” movie will premiere in autumn washed hopefully the stamp is removed. If not from Orson Scott Card himself, then at least from the story of Ender. It’s not every day that made film of science fiction novels that actually have something to say. Until then we can enjoy the little old Asa Butterfield in the trailer, along with Harrison Ford and a magnificently tattooed Sir Ben Kingsley.
