It is time for the next great legend that during the Ice Hockey World Championships in Globen receive their invited children and young people to their My Game . Tomorrow, Thursday, May 9, it Nicklas Lidström day.
Nicklas Lidstrom has invited hockey youth from such “Their” Swedish ice hockey clubs, Skogsbo SK and VIK Hockey. All invited children and young people will have a very special moment with Nicklas Lidstrom before the match between Czech Republic and Denmark, and hear about his journey from Skogsbo SK to Hockeytown and the Detroit Red Wings. A trip that includes seven James Norris Trophy Award as the best defensemen, was sustained in 12 All-Star games in the NHL, four Stanley Cup, Olympic and World Championship gold and a Conn Smythe Award as the NHL playoffs most valuable player.
World Cup ambassadors and hockey legend Nicklas Lidstrom, Mats Sundin and Peter Forsberg have all had a number of tickets each to distribute to respective match during the World Cup, My Game. The idea is to give the three World Cup ambassadors with a unique opportunity to give youth hockey clubs and schools a chance to take part in the World Cup on home soil.
The last released their My Game is Peter Forsberg that connects My Game on May 14 with his match, Czech Republic, Norway.
