Blackhawks champions after crazy twist in Game 6 - SvenskaFans.com

Blackhawks mastare efter galen vandning i Game 6

Chicago Blackhawks are Stanley Cup champions. Hawks stood for an outstanding effort in Game 6 and beat the Boston Bruins 3-2 after two late goals. Boston led 2-1 with less than 90 seconds left when Brian Bickell and Dave Bolland made sure the Blackhawks had to lift the trophy at the TD Garden. The match started at a frantic pace with both the Bruins and Blackhawks created opportunities. It was obvious that the law was extremely tagged. Both Patrice Bergeron and Jonathan Toews were involved from the start after being dropped in Game 5th

Bruins took the lead through Chris Kelly who splashed into the puck behind Corey Crawford in Chicago’s goal 7:19 into the period. Tyler Seguins stood for a delicious assistant when he backhand fit inside the castle to Kelly who could direct the puck.

Bruins took over the game after the goal, even though Chicago had an awesome location right after the goal as Tuukka Rask handled with verve, and won the Scot with 12-6. Cred to Crawford who still kept the Hawks in the game.

Andrew Shaw received a shot in the face and was bleeding badly when he went to the locker room, but the young Hawks striker came back into the game after received medical help.

In the second period came Blackhawks back and equalized to 1-1. Toews beat Rask with a pull shot after 04:24.

Blackhawks played really well defensively and Johnny Oduya covered the shot as if there was no tomorrow. Boston got opportunities in the power play but could not take the lead. Bruins did not come up at the same high rate as they did in the first. Jaromir Jagr was paid early in the season, but came back in the game in the third.

9-6 in shots to the Hawks in the second period.

The third period started fairly evenly, but it huh Boston that was on and took the lead 2-1 by Milan Lucic who remained in front of the goal after 12:11.

Boston continued to trample on and it looked like we would get a seventh and decisive match.

Instead we see two late goals by the Blackhawks who turned around and won the match 3-2. First chirped Brian Bickell after 18:44 when the Hawks had picked out the goalkeeper, Bickells ninth goal of the playoffs. Toews broke down the left and put a pass across the crease and Bickell stood vigilant at the right post and sent the puck behind Rask. Match winner for Hawks became Dave Bolland as 17 seconds later put the winning goal 3-2 after assists by Frolik and Oduya. Oduya shot from the blue line and after a control Frolik so ended the puck at Bolland who bumped the puck into the goal.

A fiendishly entertaining series overall as Blackhawks win 4-2 in matches. Patrick Kane won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoffs MVP.

Congratulations to the Chicago Blackhawks and all their fans
