End Game, in 2500 fewer public spaces - iTromsø

End Game Festival will draw attention to the fight to eradicate diseases HIV / AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. The first of several End Game concerts held in Tromsø.

In a letter from Tromsø Fire and Rescue dated 20th June, writes that it is still missing in the event’s documentation.

In addition, they write that they only allow 7,500 people in the area.

Local manufacturer in End Game Festival, Mette-Marith Aspmo think the festival has things on care – but there is much to be done before the festival actually begins to rig.

– Tromsø Fire and Rescue says no that things are done, they are on our drawings. They just mean that there is not enough evidence. We believe we are well documented, but they have a different opinion, saying Aspmo.

End Game basically wanted to have 10,000 visitors to the festival.

The letter from the fire department, they write that if the requirements are met, the fire chief could allow a person the number of 7500 people – including the audience, musicians and staff.

– We’ll try to be allowed to increase the number, but we will of course follow all the rules, and in dialogue with the Fire and Rescue. This will be nice, says Aspmo.

She emphasizes that the festival will do as the fire department has requested in safety, but they can not do so until they start to rig the arena.

– Fire & Rescue will not approve anything until they arrive on site. We report in to them, and they say they are satisfied with the documentation or not. They should first make sure when we finish rigging, she says.

Security

Aspmo emphasizes that the festival will not use any kind of pyro-show, and that there are no sources of fire at the festival.

– Unless crowd set fire to each other, there is no fire sources. But we are working hard to find out what Tromso Fire and Rescue believes, and we ask for a meeting with them, she says.

Fire Chief Nils-Ove Sollid emphasizes that there is uncertainty about whether the event can conducted.

– But that’s how the rules that you must notify the arrangement, and we appreciate the demands that are required. After that, they rig their facility from the requirements, said Sollid.

He says that they have not been satisfied with the documentation, and that they feel that it lacked information on certain areas.

– We have requirement of 7500 people in the area. We have the authority to ensure that things are done with a good safety margin, and then there are rules we must ensure that the organizers relate to. But we expect that everything is going well here, said Sollid.
