finalists in this year’s Swedish Game Awards has been published. It is now twelve titles in the competition that crowned Sweden’s best indie games for over ten years.
All participants must be newcomers to the industry and may not be supported with any existing game companies. Contributions from students on various games courses around the country and the winners receive both a cash prize and also different software licenses that they can work with.
Although it is currently unknown names behind the entries, it has become a breeding ground for the Swedish indie flora and games Unmechanical (7/10), Magicka (8/10) and Dwarfs!? has been praised the years.
the 2013 contest is divided into four categories with one winner each, and all titles also compete for the title of this year’s game. Full list can be found below:

winners are announced on 19 June and in case you’re curious about any of the titles you can read more at the Swedish Game Awards website or take you to the Central Station on June 18 because then reset all contributions out and can be tested.
