'Game of Thrones' star abused in Russian anti-rape campaign - Dagbladet.no

(Dagbladet :) A picture of actress Emilia Clarke, who is best known for his role as “dragon-mother” Daenerys Targa Ryan in the hit TV series “Game of Thrones” has been used in an anti-rape campaign in Russia – without the actor’s permission.

The campaign portrayed Clarke as 24-year-old “Anja”, which states that she feels safe when she lives in the city.

Campaign focuses on the city Jekatarinburg, and is in favor of the Russian mayor candidate Yakov Silin. He represents Vladimir Putin’s party.

– I suddenly noticed that in recent years I have not been afraid to go out at night in Jekatarinburg, says the text under the image of the actor.

The picture allegedly been used on the Facebook page for the campaign.

According to the Daily Mail discovered Russian Internet users rapidly that “Anja” simply was a young resident of Jekatarinburg. Then it started to get many ironic comments on the website, the leaders of the campaign have written that “We chose a famous and beautiful actress on purpose, to show clearly that this is a fantasy,” writes the Daily Mail.

Emilia Clarke himself is currently in the process of filming of season four of “Game of Thrones”. The series comes on HBO in 2014. Dagbladet has previously written that Clarke may also be relevant for starring in the upcoming film adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey”.
