Hyper Productive Telltale Games can be on time with a Game of Thrones game. Multiple sources tell IGN that The Walking Dead studio to do game of the first book, which is called just Game of Thrones, George RR Martin’s book series A Song of Ice and Fire. The game should therefore not be based on HBO’s TV series.
Telltale itself neither confirms or denies. Steve Allison, Press Officer, pulls out with an answer that leaves everything to the imagination:

The Walking Dead series became a formidable advance in reputation for Telltale, as previously done decently well-received adventure released in short sections. Zombie series was praised, however, almost everywhere and swept home game of the year awards in droves last year, including from the FZ. It is currently based on a second The Walking Dead-season, plus the alternate tale The Wolf Among Us whose first part set FZ-Fredrik in spin.
There is some congestion around the Game of Thrones theme in the game context. 2011 they released Cyanide Game of Thrones:, an RPG that even though it made critics like to swallow cyanide got a sequel named Game of Thrones: The Role-Playing Game the following year.
