Working with Telltale Game of Thrones game? - Gamer.no

The prolific game site IGN says so.

American game site IGN claims that The Walking Dead developers Telltale Games is working on a game based on the popular fantasy series Game of Thrones. They must have heard this from several sources, but Telltale itself will neither confirm nor deny the information:

– It keeps popping up rumors about what the next our projects are. Officially we have no comment, says Telltale’s Steve Allison to IGN.

The site also points out that Telltale CEO Dan Connors back in October, the rumor mill started when he said that they looked forward violently to divulge what they worked on, and said that they had secured a “dream rights.” At that time there were many who pulled out Star Wars, a universe Telltale has previously said that the dream of getting to play in.

IGN points out that they did not know about the game based on the TV series from HBO or book the first season of the TV series was based, also called A Game of Thrones. They do not know about the game is based on familiar stories or about Telltale has made up its own act the way they did with The Walking Dead.

So far, we should probably take the claims with a grain of salt. This will still be far from the first game based on George RR Martin’s fantasy success. We have also obtained the interesting strategy game Game of Thrones: Genesis and a not entirely successful RPG that just called Game of Thrones.

Telltale freshest project is The Wolf Among Us, which is based on the comic Fables. They also announced a new The Walking Dead-season. No wonder, then, that they had no time to King’s Quest.
