Update: Alien: Insulation allegedly stars Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda, as she fights her way through a space station. The first-person game features clones soldiers, melee weapons, and one xenomorph for “most” of the game, According To Kotaku. Sounds rather Dead Space-y, no?
Twentieth Century Fox has filed a trademark Alien: Insulation. Spotted by Siliconera, the trademark covers productssuch as “computer game and video game software; interactive video game programs; video game discs,” and more. The Most Recent Alien game, Gearbox Software’s Colonial Marines, was a disaster.
It’s possible this is the Alien game in development at Total War developer Creative Assembly, who’s still hiring for “AAA licensed Alien console project.” Affectionate That its title is Alien rather than Aliens, one could speculate it revolves around the original film.
We contacted Fox’s go-to publisher for Alien games, SEGA, for additional information. It refused to comment.
