Telltale games, live with the next installment of its acclaimed episode play “The walking dead”, recently announced that in 2014 will release another game based on a TV series. Namely “Game of thrones”.
Common to both TV series, many characters die, often violent, and given that “The walking dead” game embraced death in gameplay mechanics (the fateful choice), it is likely that the same will occur even in “Game of thrones”.
More info we wait. I personally hope that Telltale uses the same kind of grip on the “Got” the world as in “The walking dead” – an act that takes place alongside the cartoon specimen and television series. Perhaps it will revolve around smaller families in Westeros, whose loyalty to Stark or Lannister-houses may be put to the test. I expect intrigue, scheming and brutal choices.
Following the success of “The walking dead” Telltale has shown their ability to create an engaging gaming experience based on the television series format, and therefore I think no studio is better suited to capture an interactive “game of thrones”. As a dedicated “A song of ice and fire” fan as well as dedicated “Game of thrones” viewers, I follow developments with excitement.
