Upcoming 'GTA Online' patch to remove all exploited cash from the game - Examiner.com

Reports of players gaining money inside GTA Online through the use of in-game exploits has been on the rise recently as Rockstar Games is working to ban the users responsible. In an update via Rockstar Newswire on Dec 27, the developer confirmed that they are currently working on releasing a patch to remove all ill gotten cash from Grand Theft Auto V's online multiplayer mode.

Furthermore, those found responsible for participating in such exploits will have their accounts banned. Anyone who is found to be unwilling recipients of money gained from exploits won't be punished themselves. They can simply wait until the upcoming fix automatically removes the cash from their account or they can contact Rockstar Support to have their balance adjusted now if they so choose.

Rockstar Games also reminded players that they can report anyone they believe to be engaging in any exploits or over violations from inside GTA Online by visiting the Online tab of the game's pause menu.

Grand Theft Auto V is out now for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. GTA Online is also now available for those who own the base game after a free title update in October turned on access to the game's multiplayer servers.
